Travel to school
Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school. Check our location map, driving details and public transport options to help make the journey to school safe and easy.
Location map
We are located at 15 Chauvel St, Gwabegar, NSW 2356.
Use School Finder to confirm if you live in our local intake area.
Catching public transport
Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school, unfortunately our small school is not serviced by any school transport services. Many of our students ride bikes or scooters to school. Others walk or are dropped off by their parents and carers.
Do you live out of town? You can consider transport subsidy to assist you with the cost of running your own children to school. Register for the School Drive Subsidy scheme here.
Apply for a travel pass
Eligible students can get a free travel pass under the School Student Transport Scheme. Apply for a travel pass today.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
Parking on school grounds
We take great pride in the grassy areas of our school, no vehicles are allowed in this space without the permission of school staff. You must ask at the school office prior to driving in and around the school areas.
Families are asked to collect their children at the front single gate. There is an area around the front gate for student drop off and collection, the side lane way is also an acceptable area to park if you are waiting for your child to depart from school.
Playgroup families are also asked to limit their vehicle usage inside the school driveway area between normal school hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm. The only exception to this will be when the magpies are nesting and you cannot safely park at the single front gate with your young children. Please ask for assistance from staff members if you are moving your vehicle during school hours inside our school grounds or alternatively please park outside of the fenced area.
