There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

The students of Gwabegar School respectfully participate in various community events and are awarded at the end of each year based on their participation within these activities. The student leaders will assist to run the town ANZAC Day Dawn Service event.

Our students enter Public Speaking and local Eisteddfod competitions annually. Students are given opportunities across various fields to show us how they will shine, whether it is by making an amazing Easter Hat or helping a friend in the playground to overcome a difficult situation. Every day presents a new learning opportunity.

Our students have shown great success while competing at various sporting events. Among these were representations in the State Athletics events held at Homebush in term four, semi-finals in the Small Schools Touch Football Knockout event, athletics and swimming at regional, zone and local levels. Our parent body is committed to encouraging the students to actively participate. Our school staff assist to transport students to events so that they will not miss out on higher level sporting opportunities.

Learning each day at Gwabegar School is immersive. Students are encouraged to participate willingly in their own educational achievements. Students are switched into focus mode and are ready to learn each day when the activities offered are fun and enjoyable. Our students miss school when it is not on, they know that this place offers them a space to be who they can be, their individuality is expressed and embraced by the welcoming staff and small community that support them in their learning. Students at Gwabegar School are valued and allowed to feel special every day.
