Student opportunities and activities
Gwabegar Public School offers a wide range of school incursion and excursion opportunities every year. Our school has its own bus and is able to take regular trips to sporting events for larger, group and age related weekly sport. We also take long trips away to Sydney for representative athletics, small schools touch football knockouts or swimming. The students enjoy a wide variety of different journeys both near and far.
Bell times
Students should arrive at school by 8:45am.
The morning bell into class will ring at 9:00am.
Recess starts at 11:00am.
Lunch starts at 1:00pm.
The school day ends at 3:00pm.
Canteen
Our canteen is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week. The canteen menu is arranged and implemented by Gwabegar School P&C Association.

Events
It is usually a fun day out at Gwabegar Public School! The staff in this school put so much energy into making every day as special as it can be for your child. When you enrol your child, we hope to see you for all of our community events, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, end of year Presentation, Remembrance Day or just whenever you feel like calling around. Our students enjoy their families being here with them and so do we.

Uniform
Gwabegar Public School stocks a large range of school clothing in various sizes for both boys and girls when enrolled at this school. Sports day uniform is a generally unisex clothing line. Speak with us about your uniform needs. Families can pay for their uniform purchase in their School Bytes Parent Portal or App. Other items can be purchased directly from our website, please email us with information about your planned order.
Community involvement
Gwabegar School is proud of our historical 100 year Centenary as was held in 2024. What made this day such a success was our wider school community. The school is pleased to have had so many past staff, students and carers arrive to help celebrate 100 years of learning in Gwabegar.

Travel to school
Getting to and from school in the morning ansd afternoon is an action arranged by families themselves as unfortunately there is no Transport NSW vehicle in our community for this use. Many students walk safely to school each day, if you are driving a long way and will be in need of information about the School Drive Subsidy please click the Travel to school link above. For all other school arranged activities we will do our best to get students to where they should be.
