Learning
Extracurricular activities at Gwabegar School focus on life skills and learning about daily living topics for each individual student's needs. While we aim for high achievements, we understand the precious time each student has in their schooling day. Learning follows the approved timetables but is also focused on covering these topics in a practical and hands on environment. We learn by doing at our school.
Wellbeing
Gwabegar School understands that student learning is compromised if a student simply isn't feeling their best. We endorse good attendance, however we do understand that when a student is struggling they may need to find a reset. Our school can accommodate what is required, we ask all families to stay in touch about things that just aren't going to plan for their child. We are just a phone call away each day.
Additional learning support
Our school adjusts the class learning sizes according to individual student needs. Students will receive one on one instruction daily as our school works with the abilities of the students to reach their learning goals when they are ready.
High potential and gifted education
Is your child showing success in a certain area? At Gwabegar Public School we are always working with our students to capture their high achievements in whichever area these exist. Our school assists students to reach the next level of competition in sports, arts, social or academic areas and will regularly transport pupils to these events to ensure that they do not miss out on the next level of competition or excellence within their stronger skill set.
